The Adidas Vario Flat Earther Pharrell in White Black is a minimalist lifestyle sneaker released as part of Pharrell Williams's adidas VIRGINIA creative universe, drawing directly from the adidas Yoga Vario originally released in the Fall Winter 2004 season as a functional shoe for yoga practice, reinterpreted here as a stripped-back low-profile lifestyle sneaker with a full-grain leather upper, a velcro strap and shroud system that sweeps across the toe box carrying the Three Stripes branding motif, leather lining, EVA sockliner, and a direct-injected outsole that gives the shoe its flat, close-to-the-ground stance that inspired the Flat Earther name Pharrell gave the model in reference to his design intention of creating a shoe that provides a sense of grounding and balance while simultaneously encouraging a shift in perspective. The Supplier Color Core Black Cloud White colorway constructs the shoe in its white full-grain leather base with black Three Stripes on the velcro strap system, creating the most broadly wearable and cleanly graphic of the two launch colorways alongside the white and green version, with the black accents carrying the Flat Earther's minimal design vocabulary in the high-contrast black and white combination that most directly communicates the shoe's avant-garde restraint without the seasonal color specificity of the green version. The velcro strap and shroud is the design's most architecturally distinctive element, serving simultaneously as the shoe's closure system and as the primary surface for the Three Stripes branding in a format that differs from both standard lacing and the typical lateral placement of the Three Stripes, connecting to soccer boot and yoga shoe design references rather than conventional lifestyle sneaker construction.
