About this shoe
Stepping on the scene in 1989, the 550 made a name for itself on the basketball courts before retiring to the New Balance archives, until 2020 when it was reintroduced as a limited-edition. Now it's back and secured as a streetwear staple. The bulky upper is dressed in an off-white leather with perforations across the sidewalls, while red 'N' branding gets treated to a distressed finish look. Underfoot, an aged effect is bestowed upon the sole unit, making this pair look like they've come straight from the '80s.
