What we process, and why

Preference cookies. Small first-party cookies remember your country (atom_country, 180 days), your language (atom_lang, 12 months), your chosen site look (atom_brand, 7 days) and the fact that you answered the cookie bar (atom_consent, 12 months). They contain those settings and nothing else · no identifier that follows you around. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing you the right shops, prices and language (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Watchlist, recently viewed, dark mode. Stored only in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and we cannot see them.

Outbound click log. When you click through to a shop we record the click with a random id, the offer and shop, your selected country and size, the destination URL, your browser's user-agent string, the referring page and a timestamp. The random id is passed to the affiliate network so a later purchase can be attributed to us (that commission funds the site), and the log lets us spot broken shop links and click fraud. We do not store your IP address or name with clicks, and we cannot connect a click to a person. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: we keep click records for as long as they are needed to reconcile commission reports and audit for fraud.

Product-view counter. Viewing a product page stores the product id, your selected country and a timestamp · nothing about you or your browser. It powers the "trending" ranking. Known bots are excluded.

Security. Your IP address is used transiently in server memory for rate limiting, and standard technical server logs (which can include IP addresses) exist for security and abuse prevention. They are used for nothing else and kept only for a short period. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site up (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

What we do NOT do

No user accounts, no passwords, no payment data · we never see any. No advertising or tracking pixels, no third-party analytics, no fingerprinting. We do not sell or share personal data. Fonts are served from our own server, not from Google.

Third parties you should know about

Product images. Product photos are loaded by your browser directly from the image servers of the retailers, brands and marketplaces we compare (for example a shop's CDN or images.stockx.com). Like any image download, those servers see your IP address and browser details when the picture loads, under their own privacy policies. We send them nothing about you.

Affiliate networks. When you click out to a shop, the affiliate network operating that shop's programme (Awin, CJ, impact.com, Rakuten Advertising, Webgains or Partnerize) sets its own cookies on its own or the shop's domain to attribute purchases. That processing happens under the network's and the shop's own privacy policies once you leave our site.

Outbound links. Links to shops, social channels and other external sites lead to sites we do not control.

The consent bar

The cookie bar lets you accept all, reject all, or choose per category. Strictly necessary cookies (country, language, look, consent) always work. The "Performance" and "Advertising" switches are reserved for possible future features · today no analytics or advertising script runs on this site regardless of your choice. Your choice is stored in your browser; see the Cookie Policy for how to change it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Since we hold almost nothing about you, the honest answer to most requests will be "we have no data tied to you" · but write us any time at contact@sneakeratom.com and we will check. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; ours is the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
