The ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 Imperfection Pack Cream features a woven fabric and distressed leather upper in Cream, accented by multiple textures and tones on the fabric, leather, and midsole. ASICS branding appears on the exposed foam tongue, while Gel and Kayano 14 branding adorn the heel. The textured and paint speckled midsole features Gel technology inserts in dark gray, grounded by a Cream outsole. ASICS, the Japanese athletic wear brand, created the Gel-Kayano 14 for a series called the Imperfection Pack, which salutes what might otherwise be considered flawed. The Gel-Kayano 14’s cracked leather, speckled midsole and exposed foam tongue were inspired by the aging of clay pots over time. This aesthetic has also been accompanied by advancements in the Gel-Kayano 14's performance evolution for increased cushioning. In our opinion, the best feature of the Gel-Kayano 14 is its multiple textures, which make the shoe’s Cream color palette sing.
