2020 is the year full of surprises, as Nike collaborates with Boston-based boutique, Bodega, on the Nike Dunk High. Unlike any other Dunk to drop in 2020, this special partnership delivers a heavily detailed sneaker, which, described by the shop, is based on "Classic Americana". The unexpected release merges two sports, basketball and baseball, into one while hitting on cultural moments in American style and history. Constructed to look like a traditional baseball mitt, the Men's Nike Dunk High Bodega Legend Sneakers in Fauna Brown/Rustic/Velvet Brown’s upper features a mix of textures and hues, as both suede and pebbled leather make up the majority of the sneaker. In addition to materials, specific details such as iron-branded Bodega on the medial side, jeweled tortoiseshell Nike Swoosh on the lateral side, and rawhide lacing throughout the sneaker’s entirety elevate the sneaker’s status. A stash pocket is added inside the tongue, a head nod to a baseball mitt’s inner webbed pocket.
